| Basic Art Kit A basic art kit is always a good thing to have when taking workshops it's also super handy for doing art on the go. Most classes don't require it but everyone has a favorite pair of scissors a glue stick that makes them smile, and a few little bits of this and that make their art their own. I have a small caddy that I keep stocked with basics. Here is what's in my art kit. A good pair if scissors, I like Tim Holtz, they will cut through thick stuff. A couple different adhesives, Aleenes in the gold bottle and a Tombo. A pencil (#2) and a fine and medium point sharpie A traveling watercolor kit (Windsor Newton) An assortment of cheap Paint brushes (nylon) An #11 blade and holder A small self healing cutting board Some water color paper and bristol board (the small size) An altoid tin full of little treasures A chocolate bar (because it's yummy) A bottle of water Your kit should have a few things that are important to you and your style of art making ie; a favorite vintage button, some old music pages, water color paper for background, old photos. |
